"Arhontorembetika"
(rembetika of the bourgeoise) was the name given to a special style of
songs of the 50's that were "rebetika" written by composers of the, so
called, light (european style) song. They were really very beautiful
songs, with a humoristic mood, ideal for happy and joyful nights, with
lot of laugh, wine, dance and flirt. The great singer Vicky Mosholiou,
one of the best and most beloved in Greece, recorded 2 CD with popular
"arhontorembetika", that made a huge success. This excellent collection
includes, in addition to Mosholiou's songs, other happy songs, that
represent the "lighter" side of folk and rembetiko composers. Enjoy a
unique and rich collection of beautiful dancing songs that will bring
you in the "greek kefi" mood.
